$15 – average cost to provide one night's lodging for a low-income family traveling to Carrie Tingley in Albuquerque for their child’s surgery and care.
$25 – Underwrite one partial scholarship to Keshet Dance Company. Tonya, a Keschet dancer and former CTH patient, tells us "Dancing has changed my life because I feel like I don't have a disability when I dance. On stage, I feel free and beautiful."
$70 – the estimated cost of underwriting one child's day at the Foundation's Wheelchair Sports Camp where as one long-time volunteer notes, "When campers arrive and it's their first year, you see them looking around...they can't believe there's a camp just for kids in wheelchairs. That week, everyone is not staring at you for once."
$250 - underwrite a downpayment on a wheelchair ramp or life. "The Foundation sponsored a wheelchair lift for the van," says one parent, "and it changed our lives." She describes that most people don't realize how critical a means of transportation can be.
$400 - average cost of durable medical equipment not covered by insurance. A donation at this level can help a child who needs special bathing or feeding equipment.
$1000 - the estimated cost of a Therapeutic Tricycle, not covered by insurance.
